My wife has always worked and of course I have also, but I retired at 67 while she still works in her CPA office. I have been using my time alone to practice, because she has never been able to tolerate the sound of the banjo. She's selling out and retiring after Tax season this year, So I need a Music Man Cave.
I need something separate for the house. I want it with heating and A/C, light, lots of outlets for recording equipment, etc.
We live on a ranch in a remote area of Texas, I could put it about anywhere. Near water, overlooking, in a meadow, in a thicket, at the edge of a cliff.
So, if you could build or bring a skid unit and drop electric and plump in a 1/2 bathroom with a small kitchen counter with room for a coffee pot, What else could you want?
I don't know what makes a good music room. What about acoustics, soft walls or hard walls and floor? High ceilings or low?
Anything else?
Thanks.
