I have been up for a long time. Just enjoying the Christmas tree and candles here in the cabin. I put both red lights and white lights on my white flocked tree, but this morning only have the red lights on. I can use either or both colors.
Lit the candles, and that is so cool. I have one that I light for "answered prayer" and one that I light for peace. Just something that I do. I love candles, and they are special to me, especially at Christmastime. Rustic old cabins and candles kind of go together.
The daughter usually has the family over to her place for Christmas Day, but things are getting up in the air planwise. The boys are in Pendleton, and their work schedule makes it so they can't get to her place, so she is going down there to spend the time in Pendleton. The husband does NOT want to go, so I will plan on fixing a Christmas dinner for the two of us here. He gets to choose the menu.
This calls for a trip to get the things that I will cook. Hadn't planned on that, but it's okay. It will be different. Guess things change.
Looks like a shopping day to do that. Crowds bother me some, but it'll be okay.
The things he had me order for him from the Sportsmans Guide came. I put them under the tree for him. Old Santa is very good to him this year...geez.
I wanted a new coffee pot. Mine leaks badly when you pour coffee. B&D. I picked out a Faberware one. It's under the tree also. I like the coffee this old pot makes, but dislike the mess it makes.
My wants were not there this year, but guess the daughter "shopped for the companion for me", so surprises are in store. I have no clue. My credit card. Yikes. She traveled a ways to shop, too. I appreciate her efforts. So does he, cause he does not buy any gifts, but has her do his things for him.
Little different Christmas this year. I have it figured out that the only thing constant is change.
Need more coffee. Just to sit and enjoy the morning and be still seems to be the order of the morning. I enjoy the early mornings...it's my time.
