At the jam I go to, a fair few tunes get played in D. While I am very comfortable playing in G (A, Bflat, B - anything with G shapes), when D gets thrown into the mix my inexperience is revealed
I have a very specific question:
Can someone please show me a couple of D kick off licks. Likewise, can someone show me a turn around lick (not sure if this is the correct terminology - what I mean is the standard G lick that often gets played at the end of the breaks, chorus and verses).
Basically, I can cope with the middle of the break but the beginning of my D breaks never sound like a beginning and my endings never sound like endings. Does this make sense?!?
Can anyone help?
Cheers,
Andy
