D chord advice.

Hi all, quick question, i seem to be struggling with the D chord, probably just a case of my finger dexterity kicking in,,,,,anyway, the way i've been playing it is like this...

I've also seen it shown with the fouth string fretted at the fourth fret.

Does it matter too much?

Either way is hard for me at the moment, but i'll work at it.
