OK, I'm sure I'm not the only country bumpkin here that has well water, and a septic system. I have very iron rich water, and even softened, it still leaves a residual iron stain over time. Aside from the commercial products like CLR, and the powder rust removers, does anyone have any other suggestions?
I'm almost to the point of having a water treatment company come in and give their verdict on our current system. The reason I've resisted to this point is the water treatment industry is about as bad as car dealers, and eye glass stores. They all want to sell you their product because it's the "best", and oh by the way, they are also a dealer for that product. There is so much voodoo "science" that is purported by the water treatment companies, it's difficult to get to the facts.
Anyhow, if anyone has any rust stain removal tricks they'd like to share, I'm all ears.
