I just got my first issue of the year in the mail yesterday - Issue #24 of this fantastic magazine covering all aspects of fretted instruments (if ya haven't yet seen it).
There is a fabulous article about late 1800's inlay artist, Icilio Consalvi - and many images and details from the Jim Bollman collection. Both A. C. Fairbanks, and W. A. Cole instruments featured Consalvi's inlay work. I have NEVER seen museum quality engraved pearl inlay work like this anywhere.

Check out that magazine, you won't be sorry. Amazing stories, and the photography is beyond compare.
