My truck and I turn 60 this year. While my body is hopeless, there is still hope for my 1952 Chevy pickup. I have owned this truck since trading my motorcycle for it in 1974. I realize now, that it will never get restored if I wait to do it myself. I am trying to prepare myself for the bid from a auto restoration company in Wichita. So here is my estimate from numbers just pulled out of a dark space, for a daily driver and fun car:
replace engine with modified street motor (inline 261) and rear end: 6000.00
Paint and body (pretty straight, minimal rust): 8,000.00
bed floor replacement: 1,000.00
Interior: 1,500.00
misc pieces: 1,000.00
Total: 17,500.00 (Scarey, eh) What do you think?
