This is a Gibson TB 00 conversion that I bought a few years back from Arthur Hatfield. The banjo looks, sounds and plays amazing! The sounds is very sweet, and the notes ring through so pure.
Here are the specifications.
- Gibson TB00 thin rim and resonator
- Hatfield thin rim, no hole tone ring (does not over hang the rim)
- Hatfield mahogany neck with double cut peg head and "Reno style" inlays
- Gotoh tuners
- Replacement Gibson USA flange (the rim was not cut for the flange, it fit over the factory cut)
- Replacement tension hoop, Stew Mac hooks and nuts and Gibson Presto tail piece
- Replacement armrest
- Huber head
- .656'' bridge a friend made me (sounds the best yet on this banjo)
The neck has a few nicks in the lacquer on the binding from having the frets dressed at one point. The armrest has some of the nickel worn off and shows some of the yellowing from the metal below.
I would be open for trades for another old Gibson banjo. Let me know what you have.
