Gee whiz...Feb 15th and flu and hospital trip.

It's been a day. Took him to the hospital early today. They do their little miracle to get him up and moving. It works, but very costly..but the main thing is it works! I cannot lift him and move him about, as he's over twice my size, so this is like a miracle to me to have this hospital help. He's moving well right now...thank goodness.

I had to go to Walmart briefly to pick up meds....and a bunch of bananas. That was a fast errand.

Katy the Yorkie would hear me cough all night, and thinking that I was awake, she yelped to get out of her kennel. Between Katy yelping and me coughing, the whole night got really shot to pieces. Poor dog. She's about deaf, so you know that I was really hacking! The kennel? She never moves, and I am up and down a lot at night, and stepping on my tiny dog is a threat that I don't want...thus the safety of her kennel.

Problem is that I am so congested that I cannot lie down, but sit propped up on many pillows on the couch. Sleep is a stranger this way.

Today, I called the doctor for a tough cough med to help with the wracking cough. No. Not call back. I called my druggist. He called the doctor. Yes!!! Druggist knows what is what...and the companion is now on the way to the druggist in the Gator to pick up the cough meds for me. I am trying to rest and stay quiet. The meds? I think he said it's laced with codine and some stuff for mucus...says it will work. The druggist know my drug allergies...and is very careful. Heck...yes, I am allergic to Most drugs. That allergy came with me at birth...been a headache.

See? I am fortunate. I helped him to get help, and he went and helped me to get meds. Team work. Yep.

Dinner? Easy. I have enchillatos that I made and put in the freezer, so just fix those. I do that dish rather well...better than most restaurants. Glad I have them tonight. Sometimes I cook ahead for such times when things get too much.

Last night, I did chicken noodle soup...the old standby for colds, flu and what. Easy also...no problem.

Trying to get over this crud and get well. I need to be doing stuff around here...not laying down.

Now to put the dinner in the oven...and that's the next step today...been a busy day.
