Hello folks,
This is one of my favorite tunes to play, and I've always liked the ways both Don and Earl have played it, and to this day, I would like to try and play Don version. I do know that Don Wayne Reno teaches only a snippet of Don's break to "Cumberland Gap", but, I would like to do a specific version, based off of Charlie Cushman's playing.
The video I'm speaking of is in this video here. I would really like to add both of these in a medley (much like Charlie is doing in the video) for a friend of mine who is eager to learn this arrangement, and I would really like to have fun with this.
Charlie Cushman ~ Cumberland Gap ~ Scruggs & Reno styles
The version on Don Wayne's DVD is kind of similar, but I would really like to figure out the lick at the end of Don's A part, and I would really like to do a medley of Don and Earl together in a PDF.
Thank you for your help, and I owe many of you a debt of thanks for contributing.
Thank you very much.
