Hi all, 
There seem to be quite a few who have bought their first banjo recently, i was just wondering how you are all getting one? Doing good? Finding it slow going? Has it left the house via a window yet? 
I'm still doing the basic technique practice, i think it's sort of getting there but it just doesn't sound quite right to me. Bit annoying but i'm sticking with it, doing a bit every night and picking it up for a play whenever i can throughout the day. I still think my hand technique, the "knocking action" seems to be less of a knock and more of a downward strike across the strings. Thats just the way my hand seems to hit the strings.
I can tell that i'm better than two weeks ago though, so at least i can see improvement, even if i can't see the technique coming into full effect yet.
I'm glad i have been following oldwoodchuckb's RSB and also rpeeks videos on YouTube, i like having something to work to.
So hows everyone else getting on?
