Saw an episode of "Dickinson's Real Deal" the other day, one of those auction-type shows in the UK. A guy brought in a banjo-uke, which he said was a 1927. It had "The Gibson" inlaid on the peghead, single-bound reso, diamond flange, and small-diameter head . Part of the show is that a dealer will offer the seller cash, and the seller will try to get them to raise the offer, then decide whether to take the item to auction. He declined 450 pounds ($700) and put it to auction. It went for 1400 pounds ( $2200) !!!!!!
I'll buy all your Gibson banjo-ukes for $800 each and ship them over here for a huge profit !!!
