I took all the good advice here and decided i had better get a teacher especially as i want to switch over to clawhammer. Anyway, first lesson is next wednesday and i'm really looking forward to it. One thing about me is that if i spend money to do something then i'm damn sure to put in the practice hours to make the expenditure worthwhile.
