I am bidding on THE banjo for me on EBay right now. I have already spoken with the seller who is very nice and told me he would ship it whatever way I requested (of course, I am paying for it). He had figured $30-50 for shipping and I know that ain't right for proper packing, insurance, etc. I wanted to make sure he was not going to put it in a bag, stick a label on it, and ship it off. (This actually happened to me once with a large item.) The rig will be in a case.
Anyway, my question to those who know is: Who is the best shipper for Banjos and what instructions should I give the seller, assuming I am successful? Please share your thoughts on insurance also.
