Hull's Victory

I've added my version of Hull's Victory to my sound files here, and it should be attached below too...

It's a pretty little New England tune in the key of F.  The only other banjo player I've heard do it is Howie Bursen, and I shied away from it for years lest my version just turn out to be a knockoff of his.  Recently I began experimenting with playing in the key of F using open D capo three (so f#DF#AD becomes aFACF) and this tune just leapt out at me.

I thought about doing it for a TOTW, but I can't find very many recordings of it.  It's a real shame.  If kind soul here knows of a nice recording, esp. with fiddle or accordion etc. please let me know.

I'm playing my Lo Gordon/Cedar Mountain D model banjo, and accompanying myself on uke.

Hope you enjoy,

Mark
