I'm talking about whiskey fig,,,,;)
I don't like any sweet whiskey and the best I've tasted that I like is the one brand that could be made during prohibition, A good KY whiskey called Early Times. I looked about it on Wikipedia and it don't really say what it's made from. A friend at a bluegrass festival in NV introduced me to it. He asked me to run into town and get us a drink cause it was going to be cold that evening and it was but we must have not minded as we picked almost till daylight. I told him I didn't drink much abut had enough to know that the sweet stuff made me sicker than a dog.
He told me Early Times was a rye whiskey and that is wasn't sweet, It was good and is good.
I didn't and don't know squat about whiskey except that i enjoy a little snort once in a while. Not to get a buzz but it warms the insides and i like that, a little cold blooded i must be. I like my son's shine but can't go to WV when I run out. I could probably get some around here but wouldn't make a very good costumer as I need very little. A pint last me a long time.
Just wondering if anyone knew of a similar kind as long as it's not Scotch I remember for when I was 21 I hated the taste of that yuck. Some of the Canadian stuff is good i remember I use to keep a little stash around. Linda Lou has a total hatred for any kind of booze and I respect that as it holds some bad memories for her earlier days, I feel similar due to what some of my family has done with it, but i still like a little swig at times. I have to keep it stashed here because we have some younger family that think it's cool to abuse it and we don't allow any drinking here on the hill, except for old Paul ;)
No mixed drinks for me that's like drinking the sweet stuff. Just with a little ice is fine.
