I just finished (and delivered) a banjo yesterday and I'm still pretty excited about the way it turned out and the way the customer reacted. I was going for a certain look/sound/feel and it turned out exactly as I hoped it would, plus it was just he tone the customer wanted. That's always a bit of a crapshoot because I'm building to verbal description of what the customer wants, and luckily it was just he wanted.
I also want to publicly thank BHO member Robes for his help. Robes not only furnished the material for the truss rod, he shopped around and help me find the best deal on parts so I could keep expenses down. I was in a huge time crunch when I took on this project, and he helped me get this up-and-running, and that is on top of the support he gave me last summer when I was re-tooling the shop.
