I have developed this habit, god only know why, of holding my breath for longer and longer intervals as I play a song. It seems to br correlated to the length of time i play any one song. As i continue to play the song, I notice that at some point, I am literally holding my breath. It is an unconscious, annoying, habit that I seemed to have picked up and imbedded over the last couple of years and don't seem to be able to shake.
As this happens, I notice tension building and my playing worsens. Now the obvious solution is to breathe... I get that. The not so easy to thing is to not let it begin in the fist place. It is so subtle that I do not notice it happening, till I am doing it. I am assuming that I am not breaking new ground here, with this odd - bad habit, so I thought I would post the topic looking for some input. For those tempted to poke fun at me, all I can say is, my wife has had her fun with me already, so consider me softened for the blows.
However, on a more serious note, It affect my playing as I said, so I thought I would stick my neck out and ask the question..
So... What say Ye...
