I just heard of somebody getting a black widow in their grapes. So I punch it in. YIKES!!. Don't worry we don't need Imported black widows we already got our own!!. http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/fssa/concen/specif/grapraise.shtml
We also have the brown recluse & the Hobo spider. My dad was a produce manager back in the day & saw giant nasty banana spiders.
Don't they have some kind of funnel nest spiders in Texas that come right after ya?. I know people that will never eat another grape after hearing this.
Snakes I can handle . I made a deal with spiders a long time ago. I don't kill you. You don't kill me. I give a spider 3 chances for freedom if I catch them inside. I slide a piece of paper under them or gently pick them up in a paper towel but they always fight it. If they escape 2 more times I just squish it!.
