I bought my Lotus about 30 something years ago, been in the case since then until last November when I decided to start playing again. Have no idea as to what I paid for it back then, but I am pretty sure it wasn't too much. There is one on eBay right now that looks exactly like mine, even the case is the same, does not even have a bid on it, so they are still not worth much. 
My son has my Lotus right now and is learning to play, and maybe my grandkids can use it down the road some day, I most likely will never sell it.
